Monarch is an independent startup focused on building privacy-first communication tools. We're a small, passionate team that believes the future of messaging should be open, secure, and truly free from corporate surveillance. We're currently in active development and growing fast.

Monarch takes the best from existing messengers and goes further. Unlike WhatsApp, we have no ties to Meta and collect zero advertising data. Unlike Telegram, encryption is end-to-end by default in all chats. Unlike Signal, we offer a richer feature set — large groups, channels, file sharing up to 4 GB, and a growing ecosystem — without compromising on privacy.

We're currently in active development. An early access beta is coming soon — you can follow our progress and sign up for updates via our blog and social channels. We'd rather launch something great than rush something broken.

Yes. All messages in Monarch are protected with end-to-end encryption by default. This means only you and the people you're talking to can read your messages — not us, not any government, not any third party. We have no technical ability to access your message content.

We collect the absolute minimum necessary to run the service. This includes your account credentials and basic technical data needed for message delivery (such as device tokens for push notifications). We do not collect:

• Message content
• Contact lists
• Browsing or behavioral data
• Location data

Yes. Monarch will support disappearing messages with customizable timers. You can set messages to auto-delete after being read, after a set time period, or not at all — it's your choice.

All your devices stay synced in real time — start a conversation on your phone and continue on your desktop seamlessly.

Groups can hold up to 500,000 members — perfect for communities, broadcasts, and large-scale coordination. Files up to 4 GB can be sent without compression or quality loss: documents, videos, archives, anything.

Yes. Monarch is built with developers in mind. We'll provide an open Bot API and REST API so developers can build integrations, automate workflows, and create powerful bots. Documentation will be available ahead of launch.

Yes — the core Monarch experience is free forever. You get private messaging, groups, file sharing, and multi-device sync at no cost. We will also offer optional Premium tiers with enhanced features for power users and teams. Free users will never see ads or have their data sold.

Our Premium tier is designed for users who want more. We're still finalising the exact features, but expect things like:

• Exclusive sticker packs and themes

• Priority support
• Early access to new features

Pricing details will be announced closer to launch. No surprises — we'll be transparent about what you pay for.

Monarch is built on a freemium model. We earn revenue from optional Premium subscriptions, not from selling your attention or data to advertisers. We believe sustainable businesses can be built on trust — and that's exactly what we're doing.
